Your Right to Search

Every adopted person has the right to know their past and biological family. Each story is unique, and so is every search.

How Long It Takes

The time needed to find your biological family depends mainly on the information you share with us at the beginning of the search.

How We Conduct the Search

You decide if your search will be carried out privately or publicly.

If you prefer, we can only conduct the search discreetly, behind the scenes, by using documents, archives, DNA results, and official channels.

With your explicit consent, we may share your story on our website and on our Facebook community “The Never Forgotten Romanian Children”, where many successful reunions have already happened.

We will suggest the best approach for your circumstances, while fully respecting your wishes regarding privacy. Both options have their advantages and limitations, and together we will choose what feels right for you.

After You Reach Out

Once we receive your information, we carefully review it and provide an estimate of when we can begin the search. If something is unclear, we may come back with questions to clarify certain details, and in some cases, we may ask to see your adoption documents.
During the search, we will keep you updated on every step we take and every lead we follow, so you always know how the process is evolving.

Family Reunions

Meeting your birth family can be life-changing — bringing joy, answers, and new relationships, but sometimes also mixed emotions. We encourage you to share this journey with someone close and to learn from others who have been through it, so you can prepare for the challenges and rewards ahead.
