Who we are
We’re committed to helping people separated by adoption find their birth families
We bring families back together
At Fragment, we believe that every person deserves the chance to know their roots and understand where they come from. Our work is dedicated to supporting people adopted from Romania, especially in the 1990s, as well as their birth and adoptive families.
We help navigate the often complex journey of searching for biological relatives, offering both emotional guidance and practical tools. Our approach combines compassion with concrete resources: DNA testing, access to historical records, digital platforms, and partnerships with specialists who understand the sensitive nature of adoption stories.
By bringing together people separated through adoption, we don’t just reunite families — we restore a sense of identity, belonging, and healing. Every story is unique, and every reunion is an important step toward building bridges across time and distance.
Our mission is clear: to reconnect lives and to give adopted individuals and their families the chance to share love, truth, and history.
What makes us different?
We provide emotional support and safe reunions, combine technology with historical records to aid family searches, and advocate for adoption awareness and the right to origins, ensuring truth, healing, and lasting family bonds.
We offer emotional support and mediation to help adopted individuals safely reconnect with their birth families and navigate reunion challenges.
We create digital tools and explore archives and databases to help adopted individuals search for clues, documents, and connections to their birth families.
We run campaigns and educational initiatives to promote awareness about adoption, reduce stigma, and advocate for everyone’s right to know their origins and personal history.
